Home Sweet Home - Anna Batchelor - UK
"Home Sweet Home" was a self-initiated project led by Anna Batchelor and Sarah Colson, set on the Ferrier Estate in South East London.
Anna was driving home one evening and noticed a lonely light on in a building that used to house hundreds of residents. This light symbolized the last remaining resident in the block. Through a series of interviews, photographs, and textile samplers, Sarah and Anna initiated a guerrilla exhibition on the estate before its demolition. The body of work was subsequently invited to be exhibited at SHOP WORK, Peckham, and a book and a short film, in collaboration with Zanuka Films, were produced.
